Ms. Shweta Bharti is the Senior Partner at Hammurabi & Solomon Partners, a leading Law Firm in India, and possesses experience of 20 years in Dispute Resolution as well as advising Clients on ethics, integrity and compliance.

Shweta is also the Jurisdictional Council Member for India at Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA). Shweta is a speaker at various international forums and has also authored more than 100 articles in the past years. Antonio Giuseppe Di Pietro | Di Pietro Studio Legale | Italy

Antonio Giuseppe Di Pietro (*19.11.1991) is an Italian lawyer, specialized in white-collar criminal law, with a strong background in business intelligence and corporate investigations, and a passion for technology. He has worked as a cor porate intelligence analyst both in Italy and in the Middle East, before starting his practice in Milan as one of the city's youngest attorneys, assisting public and corporate clients on regulatory and anticorruption matters. He is a Qualified International Humanitarian Law Counsellor to the Italian Armed Forces. He has held numerous speeches on the use of force across three continents, and his work has been featured on leading Italian media outlets.

Peter Fissenewert | Partner at Buse Heberer Fromm | Germany

Peter Fissenewert is a partner with the law firm Buse Heberer Fromm. His core areas of practice are corporate law, restructuring & insolvency and compliance. He is one of the leading advisers and authors in these areas and is a renowned conference speaker on the subject. Prior to his career in legal practice, he was speaker for the Berlin Ministry of interior after having served as CEO of a SME group. Since 2005 he holds a professorship in economic law. Alexander Ghazvinian | SICPA SA | Chief Compliance Officer | Switzerland

Alexander is of German origin, has a master in business management and is the Chief Compliance Officer for SICPA, a Swiss-based and family owned global provider of security inks. In 2006 he started in Compliance at Daimler AG. Subsequently he worked for Terex Corp., a US-based manufacturer and was appointed Chief Compliance Officer by A.P. Moeller-Maersk. Alexander has track record in implementing and managing Compliance programs focusing on anti-bribery compliance, competition law, trade compliance and data protection. During his career he had managed major investigations incl. interactions with regulators like the US DoJ or other European prosecutors.

Henning Glaser | Lecturer, Faculty of Law | Thammasat University

Henning Glaser (born 1971) is since 2009 the founding director of the German-Southeast Asian Center of Excellence for Public Policy and Good Governance (CPG) at Thammasat University, jointly formed by the Universities of Münster, Frankfurt, Passau and Thammasat University. Since 2007 he is teaching German and comparative constitutional law at the Faculty of law of Thammasat University. Prior to his engagement at Thammasat University he had been working as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law of Münster University, as an attorney at law and a consultant. Henning Glaser serves as a consultant to numerous governmental and nongovernmental agencies in Europe, America and Asia in various fields of law, governance and compliance. Among his research areas are the critical theory of governance and compliance as well cross-cultural compliance. Christian Hauser | University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons | Switzerland

Christian Hauser (*25.02.1974) is Professor of Business Economics and International Management at the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons and Fellow at the Digital Society Initiative of the University of Zurich, Switzerland. He is a member of the topical platform Ethics of the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences (SATW), member of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) Working Group on Anti Corruption and head of the first PRME Business Integrity Action Centre in Europe. His research interests include international entrepreneurship, SME and private sector development, corporate responsibility and business integrity.

Patrick Henz | USA

Patrick Henz started his career in Compliance at the end of 2007, becoming responsible for the implementation of the Siemens Anti-Corruption program in Mexico and several Central American & Caribbean countries. Together with these tasks, he gained valuable insights into global Compliance systems, with a focus on Latin America. Since 2009, as Compliance Officer he is responsible for effective Compliance programs; based on integrity, respect, passion & sus tainability. Carlos Lelo Filipe | BNP Paribas | Senior Compliance  | Portugal

Carlos Lelo Filipe (*21.06.1964) is Senior Compliance Officer at BNP Paribas, in Lisbon, Portugal, previous Vice-Director of Compliance at BBVA (Portugal). He has a Law Degree from the Faculty of Law, University of Lisbon (Classical), Portugal, is also Lawyer, Board member of the Portuguese branch of Transparency International and President of the Disciplinary Board of the Portuguese Basketball Federation. Carlos is author of several publications on compliance.

Mariola Lisewska | Polipol Service-Center sp. z o.o. | General Counsel | Poland

Mariola Lisewska is General Counsel at Polipol Group Poland, where she coordinates and manages legal and compliance related projects. She looks after the legal and compliance needs of the organization. She is a speaker at various international events related to tax and compliance. Prior to her current role she worked at Deloitte supporting the M&A team. Bartosz Makowicz (*23.04.1981) is university professor at the Faculty of Law, European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (O.), Germany. He is director of the Viadrina Compliance Center, which is an interdisciplinary research center and a think-tank for Governance, Ethics, Compliance & Integrity (ECI). He has been the Head of Delegation of Germany and an international expert to ISO TC 309. Bartosz is author of over 100 publications on ethics, compliance & integrity and gave over 100 speeches on ECI in past years.

Anna-Maija Mertens is working as Executive Director at Transparency International Germany since 2014, where her core responisibilities are: advocacy (especially - national and international anti-corruption advocacy), management and fundraising. Her daily activities consist of work in close cooperation with various CSOs, companies, as well as political entities. The main task of TI Germany is to engage with research experts, policy makers and business leaders in order to build new and improve the already existing anti-corruption partnerships, to formulate positions and policy recommendations for international and national governmental and non-governmental entities, and to advocate for an improved political framework for anti-corruption. Sandra Middel | Group Compliance Officer: Clariant | Switzerland

Sandra joined Clariant in May 2017 as Group Compliance Officer responsible for Ethics & Integrity as well as Data Privacy and Information Security. She brings over 15 years of experience in the Compliance field, setting up Compliance Programs in various companies. various companies. Before joining Clariant she has been with Syngenta setting up the Compliance program and governance for the EMEA region, training on ethics and embedding integrity into the mindset and culture of the business, coaching leaders on ethical topics and leading compliance investigations. Her first assignment in Compliance was to build up the Compliance and
Risk management System for ING in Russia. She brings extensive knowledge in Compliance and Risk Management in mature and emerging markets. Sandra is a board member of Ethics and Compliance Switzerland, a board member of the KBA NotaSys Integrity Fund and Co Chair of the Swissholdings Compliance Working Group.

Akif Mert (*03.06.1982) is a German lawyer specialized in white-collar crime with more than 10 years of international experience in managing legal, cor porate compliance and data privacy matters in both emerging and highly regulated markets. He has spent many years in Singapore as the Regional Head of Compliance and DPO of Allianz Asia Pacific before moving to Switzerland in 2020 to assume the role of the Chief Compliance Officer of the Allianz Suisse Group. Nikos Passas is Professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Northeastern University. He is a member of the Athens Bar and collaborates with several universities around the world. He has more than 240 publications on inter national criminal law and conventions, corruption, illicit financial/trade flows, sanctions, informal fund transfers, remittances, terrorism, white-collar crime, financial regulation, organized crime and international crimes in 15 languages. He engages in training and consulting projects with international organizations (UN, World Bank, EU, OECD, IMF, TI), companies, and govern ment agencies in all continents. In 2017 he received the Dr. Jean Mayer Global Citizenship Award. 

Mary Shirley | Head of Culture of Integrity & Compliance Education Fresenius Medical Care | Co-host of the Great Women in Compliance Podcast | USA

Mary Shirley is a New Zealand qualified lawyer with 15 years of Ethics and Compliance experience working for data privacy and antitrust regulators, in-house and private practice/consultancy. She is currently global Head of Culture of Integrity and Compliance Education at Fresenius Medical Care.
Mary also hosts the Great Women in Compliance Podcast which aims to create a platform for the outstanding achievements of women in the field and sharing ideas and providing learning opportunities for everyone in Compliance. She co-authored book Sending the Elevator Back Down: What We’ve Learned From Great Women in Compliance (CCI Press, 2020).

Marc Tasse | University of Ottawa | Canada

Mr. Tassé is an investigative and forensic accountant who has experience investigating and advising companies on alleged corruption, fraud, financial misconduct, and breach of fiduciary duty. As an Anti-Corruption Ethics and Compliance expert, he provides services as Independent Corporate Monitor and Independent Corporate Auditor. An award-winning lecturer in the MBA program at the Telfer School of Management and in the Common Law Section at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law, he is a frequent media commentator and conference speaker, has been published extensively, and quoted in various prestigious publications such as the Wall Street Journal.

Carlos Weisse | Compliance Expert | Peru

Lawyer graduated from the University of Lima, has a Master's Degree in Business Law from the University of Lima, also has the International Certification in ISO 37001 - Anti-bribery, the International Certification in Comprehensive Risk Management - ISO 31000, COSO Certification - Internal Control. He worked in the Peruvian financial system for 15 years. He was Compliance Officer in a Bank of the Peruvian financial system and held the position of Vice President of the Committee of Compliance Officers in the Association of Banks of Peru. He is a teacher and national and international lecturer, having exhibited in Panama, Costa Rica, Colombia, Brazil, for the US Embassy, School of Public Prosecutors. He is currently an external consultant in the prevention of money laundering for the Intelligence Division of the National Police of Peru and legal advisor to foreign companies.

Anatoly Yakorev | Center for Business Ethics &Compliance | Russia

Anatoly Yakorev is Director of Center for Business Ethics & Compliance (CBEC) in Moscow (Russia) and Director of Institute for International Cooperation, Compliance & Business Protection (IICCBP) as Foreign Investment Ombudsman in Russia working with Russian regulators to address violations. He was the first one to launch Collective Action in Russia in 2010, and has launched three (RECA, WWC, ACRB). As the Council of Europe expert on good governance he produced recommendations for Russia's Business Ombudsman. Also Anatoly works as Mentor for Conscious Enterprises Network (UK) to help foster Ethics and Compliance among small and medium-sized enterprises (SME).

Viadrina Compliance Center
The first scientific institute in which interdisciplinary projects all about Compliance and Integrity are implemented. The VCC-Team consists of scientist coming from various academic fields offered by Europa-Universität Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder). VCC is both nationally and internationally active.
