Conception
According to the more than 15 years old tradition of the Department of Research for Security Industry and Corporate Security (FORSI) by Prof. Strober, this year’s Security Business Days is themed by the motto: „Corporate safety and security industry - Growing importance, increasing demands!?“ The annual event is intended to serve as a discussion forum on current security issues. The event addresses political representatives, parties from state and municipal authorities, executives from the private security industry, police officers, associations and trade union delegates, lawyers and scientists. This year's conference is also a kick-off event for the inauguration of FORSI at its new place within the research department of the Viadrina Compliance Center at the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder).
Implementation
On two event days a total of four thematic panels and two fixed presentations are planned. The respective panels begin with short presentations by experts from business, politics and science and they end with an ensuing discussion. The panels will be moderated by the respective experts. The scientific results will be summarized and published in respective publications.
Objectives
The conference aims to shed light on the current issues of corporate security and the private security industry. Existing solutions should be presented and new approaches should be fostered by a fruitful discussion.
