III. Cologne Compliance Panel, Cologne, 14 March 2016

On 14 March 2016 the III. Cologne Compliance Panel took place. Jörg Schick as a representative of the Bundesanzeiger Verlag and Prof. Dr. Bartosz Makowicz from the Viadrina Compliance Center welcomed all the guests. As in previous years, the conference was divided into several panels. The first panel dealt with corruption prevention. The speakers talked about corruption prevention and control abroad, the new standard ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management and Collective Actions. The second panel was dedicated to IT security and data protection. The topics of this panel included paradoxes and synergies od IT security and data protection, the perspective of the security industry, technology transfer and export control. Besides the experts were also talking about the correct use of IT for the compliance control and for prevention. The last panel dealt with crisis management and also with the opportunities and limitations of cooperation with the criminal court when a crisis happens. Furthermore it was about strategies for crisis management,  crisis avoidance and about crisis communication.
